Caddy Up
Effective date: 5 June 2026
Operated by Allela Ventures Ltd ("CADDY UP", "we", "us", "our"), P.O. Box 29832-00100, Nairobi, Kenya.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CADDY UP mobile application, website, and associated services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account, booking through the Platform, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years old (the age of majority in Kenya) to create an account, hold an account, or transact on the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
CADDY UP is intended for use by adults. Minors (persons under 18) may not create or hold accounts. A minor may play a round only where an adult Account Holder books the Caddie on the minor's behalf and remains responsible for supervising the minor during the round. The adult Account Holder is fully responsible for the conduct, safety, and supervision of any minor for whom they book, and for ensuring such use complies with these Terms and the rules of the relevant golf club.
You must register with accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You may not share your account, create accounts using false information, or maintain more than one account without our permission.
CADDY UP serves two primary roles — Golfers and Caddies — each with role-specific features. You must accurately represent your role and your capabilities. We may require verification of identity, experience, or eligibility (particularly for Caddies) before enabling certain features.
Caddies are independent service providers. Caddies are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of CADDY UP. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between CADDY UP and any Caddie. Caddies are solely responsible for:
CADDY UP does not guarantee any Caddie a minimum number of bookings or any level of income.
CADDY UP facilitates connections between Golfers and Caddies and provides tools for booking, payment, and round verification. We are not a party to the service arrangement between a Golfer and a Caddie. Each party is responsible for fulfilling its commitments related to a Booking. Rounds may be verified using secure tee check-in codes and confirmation from both the Golfer and the Caddie; you agree to use these verification features honestly. CADDY UP does not guarantee the availability, conduct, punctuality, skill, or performance of any user.
Caddie rates are set by Caddies and displayed in Kenya Shillings (KSh) for 9 or 18 holes. At checkout you will see a clear breakdown of the Caddie's rate, any applicable service fee, and the total payable before you confirm.
Cancellation and refund terms applicable to a Booking will be presented at or before checkout and form part of these Terms. Unless stated otherwise:
Refunds, where due, are returned via the original payment method where reasonably possible. Disputes about a specific round should first be raised through the Platform.
Caddy Credits are a promotional loyalty reward. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, are not redeemable for cash, and are not transferable except as we expressly permit. Credits may be subject to earning rules, caps, and expiry, and we may modify or discontinue the programme at any time. Credits obtained through error, fraud, or abuse may be voided.
Reviews may be submitted only by Golfers who have completed a Booking, and must be honest, fair, and based on the actual round. Prohibited in reviews:
We may remove reviews that violate these guidelines and may withhold or moderate ratings affected by suspected fraud.
Any in-app messaging is provided to support booking-related communication and must be used responsibly and professionally. Prohibited:
You agree not to:
Golf and travel to and from golf clubs involve inherent risks, including physical injury and property damage. You participate voluntarily and at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CADDY UP is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages arising from rounds, club premises, weather, or the conduct of other users.
CADDY UP maintains admin oversight and may review profiles, reviews, messages, bookings, and account activity to enforce these Terms and protect the community. We may, with or without notice: remove content; issue warnings; limit features; suspend accounts; or permanently terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations or suspected fraud.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that harms the Platform or its users. You may request account deletion at any time through our Delete Account page. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 13, 16–22) will survive.
All content, trademarks, logos, and materials on the Platform are owned by or licensed to CADDY UP. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Platform content without our prior written permission. Content you submit (such as your profile and reviews) remains yours, but you grant CADDY UP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use it to operate and promote the Platform.
The Platform relies on third-party services (including payment providers and hosting). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any Caddie or Golfer will meet your expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CADDY UP and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to your use of the Platform or any interaction between users. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the total amount of fees you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CADDY UP and its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Subject to the following, the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before commencing proceedings, you agree to first contact us to seek a good-faith resolution. Disputes between users (Golfer and Caddie) are the responsibility of those users; CADDY UP may, but is not obligated to, assist.
If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the applicable store terms, and the following apply:
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will provide notice through the app or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and CADDY UP regarding the Platform. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
